Overview
SmartFolio builds a portfolio website from a résumé in minutes, for students, job seekers and busy developers. You upload a PDF or Word résumé, AI parsing fills in your profile, skills, experience, projects and education, and you pick a template and publish.
I built it as a personal product end to end: the guided form, the AI résumé parsing with Gemini, the template previews, publishing, and the dashboard where people manage their portfolios and subscriptions.
What I built
- Built résumé import (PDF, DOC, DOCX) with Google Gemini parsing it into structured profile fields
- Built a multi-step portfolio form with manual editing for every section
- Added a template gallery with live previews before publishing
- Added Clerk sign-in and a dashboard for portfolios and plans
- Integrated Stripe subscriptions and subscription-gated custom domains
- Built on the Next.js App Router with Prisma and PostgreSQL
